The Complete Oak X Base Table. This new item to our range is a stunning fully oak built design made with 4" solid oak lengths in our most popular design, The X Base. Each and every component is made from solid prime oak which gives a naturally stunning finish. This base may have knots imperfections cracks splits etc these are all part of having natural real  solid 4 " oak and these add the aesthetic and the design of the table. These are what makes our tables unique natural and authentic. We do not use wrapped or manufactured oak like other similar items. If you want a factory made look this isn't the item for you this is 100% natural solid oak with all its quirks and imperfections.
 
This beautifully crafted Oak top is oiled in osmo clear polyx oil for protection whilst also retaining the amazing grain and colour of the natural Oak. Polyx oil comes in 3 finish options matt, satin or gloss please input your chosen sheen in the finish options section above.
 
These oak coloured metal framed Wishbone Danish- hans wagner inspired chairs match perfectly with our Complete oak x base table. 
These chairs are perfect for use in any dining room or kitchen space yet stylish enough catch any eye along with our beautiful handmade oak table.. The wishbone chair has a  'Y' shaped back and lovely contrasting weave padded seat. comes in the natural oak colour to perfectly match the table. 
Please note these are hans Wagner inspired they are not hans Wagner or a  wooden imitation of these.
These chairs are stronger sturdy and more durable than their wooden counterparts which makes them great for all types of dining area. By supplying these chairs instead of other hans Wagner imitations we can offer a 5 year guarantee on them along with our 5 year guarantee on all our tables. This gives you the perfect peace of mind that not only is your dining table covered by our guarantee but also the dining chairs.

Whats the difference between Oak and the other various wood types we use?
Oak is frequently used to build household furniture because of its strength, durability and stunning grain appearance. The oak is more expensive , but this is offset by flawless grain and its various strengths. As oak is a slow growing wood compared to many others, it takes a long time to reach maturity, when it can be felled and used for timber. As it is slow to produce, this naturally drives up the cost but this also give the naturally beautiful tight oak grain which has become a sought after feature over many years.
Please note. The breadboard end was a specific requirement for the table photographed and isn't on our standard items. Your top will be one solid piece of oak with the grain all running one way. Should you require the breadboard ends please leave this in the notes. Please note upon this request this item then comes under our Bespoke items policies.
